The Stevenson Creek Bushcare Group works in Excelsior Reserve in an area of Sandstone Gully Forest along the creek line in Baulkham Hills.

This area provides habitat for the Powerful Owl and Grey Headed Flying Fox which are both listed as Vulnerable under State legislation.
