About this event
Grab your explorer hat! Young wildlife detectives will venture into the nearby Cumberland State Forest, searching for animal tracks, nests, and signs of life.
With a focus on local biodiversity, these sessions encourage observation, inquiry, and a love for nature.
This activity includes a short walk on the Sensory Trail where students/participants undertake a quiz in small groups.
For ages 5 – 12
Join us at the “Shepards Picnic Area” in the beautiful Cumberland State Forest. Perhaps stay for a picnic or a wander afterwards and make a morning of it!
NOTE: As this event is held in the forest, we recommend that all attendees wear long sleeves, long pants and enclosed shoes and that standard sun protection (hat, suncreen etc.) be applied/worn.
If the event is modified or cancelled due to poor weather registered attendees will be advised via SMS.
Pay it Forward
Our school holiday program is FREE to attend, but if you’re able, we welcome donations from the Kids with Cancer Foundation hospital-approved list. These items will be delivered to the Kids with Cancer Foundation and included in Care Packs 4 Kids, bringing moments of joy to children undergoing cancer treatment in hospital.
