Creating Canopies : National Tree Day Planting in Liverpool

Help Create a Cooler, Greener, Greater Sydney – Come Tree Planting with Greater Sydney Landcare!

Take part in a hands-on day of tree planting. You’ll help cool our suburbs, create vital habitat for birds & wildlife, and connect with your community.

Whether it’ll be your first time planting or you’re a seasoned bushcarer, everyone’s welcome! No experience needed. It’s a family-friendly day out.

We provide all tools, gardening gloves, training and a free lunch (usually sandwiches/wraps, plus a sweet treat 🍪).

You’ll get to:

• Make a real difference for local ecosystems
• Enjoy time outdoors (great for your heath & wellbeing)
• Be part of a lovely, growing community creating a cooler, greener and more resilient Greater Sydney

Spaces are limited, so please register to secure your spot.

🌱 Getting There & Parking Tips:
Parking is limited to street parking directly around the venue, so we encourage everyone to think green when planning their trip.

🚗 Additional parking is also available at:

• Shoeffel Park (approx. 10-minute walk)
• Carnes Hill Shopping Centre (approx. 15-minute walk)

If possible, please consider carpooling, walking, or using public transport—it’s a simple way to support the planet while supporting the event.

🚏 The closest bus stop is at Carnes Hill Shopping Centre, which is about a 15-minute walk from the site. You can plan your trip using the NSW Transport Trip Planner for the most convenient route.

This planting is part of the Creating Canopies project—a partnership between Landcare NSW and Greater Sydney Landcare to plant 300,000 native trees between 2020-2025 as part of the Greening our City program to help mitigate urban heat in Greater Sydney. Proudly funded by the NSW Government.
