Creating Canopies ENCORE in Earlwood

🌳 Help Create a Cooler, Greener, Greater Sydney – Come Tree Planting with Greater Sydney Landcare!

Take part in a hands-on day of tree planting beside the river in Earlwood. You’ll help cool our suburbs, create vital habitat for birds & wildlife, and connect with your community and nature. This event coincides with Mental Health Month in Australia, so what better way to practice mindfulness than giving back to nature in such a beautiful location beside the Cooks River.

Whether it’ll be your first time planting or you’re a seasoned bushcarer, everyone’s welcome! No experience needed. It’s a family-friendly day out.

We provide all tools, gardening gloves, training and a free lunch (usually sandwiches/wraps, plus a sweet treat 🍪).

This planting is part of the Creating Canopies project—a partnership between Landcare NSW and Greater Sydney Landcare to plant 300,000 native trees between 2020-2025 as part of the Greening our City program to help mitigate urban heat in Greater Sydney. Proudly funded by the NSW Government.
