Ku-ring-gai Tiny Forest, Kendall Street, West Pymble NSW, Australia
*Registration / tickets to an event are subject to the event organiser availability.
About this event
Our Ku-ring-gai Tiny Forest is now thriving. This will be a great opportunity to see how these small-scale plantings can enrich urban biodiversity by discovering what critters are living there.
The event will use the biodiversity recording app iNaturalist (don’t worry if you haven’t used it before, we’ll show you how!) to record and identify the creatures in our Tiny Forest. After an initial introduction to iNaturalist, we’ll get stuck into recording as many lifeforms in the Tiny Forest as we can.
The first 15-30 minutes will be an introduction to the event and covering the basics of iNaturalist for those unfamiliar. The remainder of the event will be spent recording the wildlife we find.
The event will still run in light rain. Under more extreme weather conditions the event will be cancelled. Parking and amenities are available at West Pymble Shopping Centre (Phillip Mall).
Bring: a phone or digital device with a camera capable of accessing the internet. The event will be outside so sturdy boots and appropriate clothing are required.
