About this event

Immerse yourself in 123 hectares of tranquil bushland for a morning of discovery.

Led by bird expert Peter Lockhart, this guided walk invites you to explore the diverse birdlife that calls the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden home. From the vibrant calls of honeyeaters to the majestic sight of Glossy Black Cockatoos soaring overhead, you’ll learn to identify local species and understand their vital role in our unique ecosystem.

Whether you’re a seasoned “twitcher” or just starting your birding journey, this slow-paced wander through Scribbly Gum forests and Banksia heathlands offers a perfect escape into nature.

The Route: A guided exploration along the Solander and Browns Trails, passing through varied vegetation communities.
Expert Guidance: Gain insights into bird identification and the local flora of the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park edge.
Wildlife Sightings: Look for small bush birds, honeyeaters, and larger raptors or cockatoos.
