About this event

Get involved on National Tree Day and help grow a thriving native meadow in the heart of the city.

Join us at Prince Alfred Park as we plant 4,000 native grasses, herbs and wildflowers to strengthen an important urban habitat. This meadow has been carefully nurtured since 2011 and is home to species such as kangaroo grass, weeping grass and native violet, all vital for supporting local wildlife.

You’ll directly contribute to a greener Sydney while learning about the plants that provide food and shelter for birds, insects and small mammals.

What to bring: enclosed shoes and sun-safe clothing, water bottle and gloves (if you have them). Fruit and water will be provided.

Free but registration essential, register online with Planet Ark. Or come along and register on the day.
