About this event

Become a marine scientist for the morning and contribute to Australia’s longest-running microplastic research dataset!

Gather along the harbour shores of Manly Cove (Kai’ymay) to help sample, screen, and measure tiny plastic debris washing onto the sand.

Guided by expert environmental researchers, you will learn professional scientific sampling techniques while protecting local harbour wildlife from plastic pollution. It is an engaging, meaningful hands-on experience perfect for families, students, and ocean lovers eager to make a tangible scientific impact. Join in to turn a scenic morning by the harbour into vital conservation action!
