About this event
This night of talks, music and activities will explore what caring for Country means and looks like in 2023, and how First Nations practices for water and land management are essential for solving our environmental crises, curated by multi-disciplinary theatre maker, choreographer and artist Jacob Boehme.
All too often, nature is framed as other – something that we exist alongside but outside of.
But First Nations perspectives offer a powerful counterpoint of an innate connection to Country, where there is no separation between land and Peoples. Instead, this relationship sustains in every aspect – spiritually, physically, socially and culturally – and is expressed through custodianship, caring for land, sky and waterways for future generations.
Event:
5pm-9pm | Talk: 6.30pm-7.30pm
