Sea Shepherd Day for the Ocean-Newcastle

Sea Shepherd’s Day for The Ocean in Newcastle, NSW is an exciting event where you can join an onshore crew and take direct action by cleaning up your local beach and supporting and learning more about our global movement.

This is your chance to get involved and help us DEFEND, CONSERVE, and PROTECT our magnificent ocean.

Event details:

• Date: 4th June 2023
• Location: Merewether Beach, Newcastle, NSW
• 10.00 am Event starts with the safety briefing.
• 12.00 pm Event concludes.
• Meet the Sea Shepherd crew at JP Galvon Park, Cliff Road, North Wollongong

All our events are inclusive and family-friendly!

What to bring:

• BYO gloves (compulsory to BYO and wear gloves during COVID)
• Wear closed-in shoes
• Be SunSmart
• Reusable water bottle (no single-use plastic, please)
• Bring along a face mask in case you feel the need to face cover during the event.

If you are feeling unwell on the day or have tested positive for Covid in the five days prior to the event, please stay at home.

Please note we have implemented several changes to our clean-ups to make them COVID Safe for all participants; however, due to the changing nature of Government restrictions, the above event details and schedule may change.
