Plastic Free Living and Beeswax Wrap

Get involved in Plastic Free July this school holidays, learn how to live a plastic free life, and make beeswax wraps, a plastic free alternative to common products to use in the home!

Plastics have become infused into our lives from clothes to packaging, even skincare! Plastic has many negative impacts on our health and our environment on a global scale. Make a difference and take control to live a more plastic free life by looking into alternatives to common products.

Margaret from Moss House will show you how to make your own beeswax wrap and you are invited to participate in the process and take your own one home! Participants will also receive instructions for making beeswax wraps at home via registered email. This workshop is supported by The Hills Shire Council Resource Recovery Team.

Topics to be covered include:

– Types of household plastic

– Eco friendly alternatives

– How to make beeswax wraps

Location and Parking: The Community Environment Centre is located on Currie Avenue of Annangrove Road, Annangrove. The Centre is found at the rear of Annangrove Park in the car park.

What to Bring: Please wear enclosed shoes and bring a water bottle. The workshop will be conducted in Annangrove Hall next to the Community Environment Centre.
