About this event
The aim of this class is not only to give you the opportunity to photograph some of Australia’s most iconic birds (close-up) but also learn about their habitat and behaviours.
Your subjects will be a Tawny Frogmouth, Blue-winged Kookaburra, Bush Stoned Curlew, Red-tailed Black Cockatoo and a Sulphur-crested Cockatoo. Please note bird subjects may be subject to change due circumstances beyond our control.
Your lecturer Angela Robertson-Buchanan will talk about their techniques in the field, the importance of maintaining high ethical standards when you are working with wildlife and why they don’t like using flash on wildlife.
As an alternative they’ll demonstrate their specially designed continuous lighting and daylight studio set-ups where you will get the opportunity to take some stunning portraits.
You are guaranteed to walk away with not only some breath-taking shots, but also a deeper understanding and appreciation of Australian birds and some techniques you can use in the field.
