About this event

Join us for an inspirational and interactive fireside chat with Michael Molitor, the former Global Leader of Climate Change Services at PwC and the former Senior Advisor on Climate Change at McKinsey.

What if the majority of investments into climate tech startup companies by VC climate funds were unrelated to making a meaningful contribution to helping solve the global climate system stability challenge?

Is it the role of climate tech VC funds to generate strong returns for their LPs, help solve the climate challenge, or both?

Where should climate tech VCs funds invest if they want to simultaneously generate giant returns to LPs AND help solve the climate challenge? Could there be a strong correlation between success across both objectives?

Michael Molitor, the former Global Leader of Climate Change Services at PwC and the former Senior Advisor on Climate Change at McKinsey, is a co-founded a climate tech startup, advises several other climate tech startups, and is currently an External Advisor at Bain. Michael completed his PhD at Cambridge University and a 3 year postdoctoral fellow at Harvard.
