Read with Cats | School Holidays

Did you know that reading to cats helps to strengthen the human-cat bond and can even comfort your favourite feline friend?

Bring along your favourite library book and join us at Sutherland Shire Animal Shelter to test this theory for yourself these school holidays.

Relax, read and hang out with cats – sounds like a purr-fect afternoon! Bookings are essential for 1.30pm, 2pm, 2.30pm, and 3pm sessions and each session runs for 30 minutes.

While we’re excited to welcome you to the cattery, please be aware of the following conditions:

• Bookings are essential
• Each child needs a ticket
• Please be ready to show your ticket – either show us on your phone or print your ticket
• Staff are here to help, not to be hurt. Aggressive and abusive behaviour will not be tolerated
• If you feel unwell, please stay home
