200k Tree Planting Celebration Event!

Come along for a morning of tree planting & celebration on the grounds of Campbelltown Hospital.

This event marks a major milestone for Creating Canopies – during this event we’ll plant our 200,000th tree since the project’s inception in 2020!

And we’re not stopping there—another 100,000 native plants are scheduled for planting by the end of 2025.

Festivities include a FREE barbeque sausage sizzle, raffle/door prizes, a native seed giveaway, and a talk about Campbelltown’s Koalas and how you can help them.

Green spaces aren’t just great for wildlife, they’re also associated with better physical health, lower stress levels, and greater community satisfaction. Plus they cool down our neighborhoods! Now’s your chance to get involved with greening your community.

Please wear long sleeves, long pants, closed sturdy shoes, a hat, and sunscreen, and bring a drinking bottle with water.

On-site training, tools, and LUNCH will be provided.

RSVPs are essential, to avoid disappointment please register ASAP.

All children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please arrive by 9 am for check-in, training, and to avoid missing out on the fun!

About the Creating Canopies Project

Creating Canopies is a project run by Greater Sydney Landcare and Landcare NSW to plant hundreds of thousands of trees across Greater Sydney to reduce urban heat. It is proudly funded by the NSW Government.

Creating Canopies Stage 2 is running now – from 2023-2025. We’re at it again – planting a further 200,000 trees as part of the Greening our City program to help mitigate urban heat in Greater Sydney.
