ChatterCamp 2025

ChatterCamp is a unique public speaking and confidence-building school holiday camp, held annually in Galston, just north of Sydney.

Kids in school years 4 to 6 spend two nights away from home, in a fun and rewarding environment. Selected ChatterCampers who display leadership potential can be invited back to be Junior Leaders in year 7.

Public Speaking is one of the top fears for adults, and that fear starts in primary school. Adults and kids who can present with confidence, and who enjoy presenting, are generally more successful in life and work. Give your child an advantage in life, and let us teach them to present with confidence.

ChatterCamp will be held at Crosslands Reserve this year. The adventure begins when ChatterCampers meet at the Somerville Road side and take a short ferry trip across the river to go to the camp site.

The camp is situated in Berowra Valley National Park and in this natural setting ChatterCampers will enjoy nature walks, canoeing, swimming and of course, lots of public speaking games and activities! All activities are closely supervised.

Public speaking games, activities and practice are used to build confidence and polish public speaking styles, giving kids the tools they can use to give any speech any time with confidence. While it is a holiday camp focusing on public speaking development, there is also an emphasis on fun: speaking should be an enjoyable activity!

Training is delivered by SpeakersBank Australia Inc. trainers: education professionals, Cert IV trainers, professional speakers and graduates from ChatterCamp – all with up to date Working With Children Background Checks.

The public speaking workshops are conducted in smaller groups and allow for lots of interaction and practice, as well as opportunity to give and receive feedback.

Parents can register with service.nsw.gov.au to get a $50 voucher towards creative activities. SpeakersBank Australia has been approved as a NSW Creative Kids registered provider, which means ChatterCamp is eligible for the program.

To get your voucher, register at service.nsw.gov.au before you book for ChatterCamp. Use the Promotional Code CREATIVEKIDS when booking and we will deduct $50 from your booking fee. Add your voucher number to the booking. You will see the blue hyperlink at the top of the very first page for the Promo Code (fill in CREATIVEKIDS) and later in the form you can input the voucher number.

NOTE: If your NSW Creative Kids voucher is invalid in any way, your ChatterCamp booking will become invalid too, until you pay the remaining $50.

Should NSW restrictions require the camp to be cancelled, full refunds will be issued. NSW Creative Kids Vouchers will not be refunded under any circumstance.
