About this event

Come along for a morning of tree planting with the City of Canterbury-Bankstown Council. We’re planting trees to help cool down Sydney and create valuable habitats for birds and other wildlife.

Green spaces aren’t just great for wildlife, they’re also associated with better physical health, lower stress levels, and greater community satisfaction. Plus they cool down our neighborhoods! Now’s your chance to get involved with greening your community.

RSVPs are essential, to avoid disappointment please register ASAP.

We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of the land on which this event will take place.

What To Wear & Bring

Please wear closed shoes, long pants, long sleeves, a hat and sunglasses. Bring along your sunscreen and a drink bottle of water.

On-site training, tools, gardening gloves and LUNCH will be provided.

Important Info

All children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please arrive by 9 am for check-in, training, and to avoid missing out on the fun! Events are not guaranteed to run the full day.

If you get sick in the 48 hours prior to the planting, please cancel your ticket and stay home and rest. We’d love to see you at another planting when you’re feeling better.

If you have any medical issues affecting your ability to plant, please let the site manager know prior to planting on the day so they can make accommodations.

For more information about this planting day, please contact Project Manager Danielle at [email protected].

Wet Weather

Plantings go ahead in cloudy or wet weather. In the event that the weather is unsafe for planting, we will contact those registered by email to let them know that the event has been cancelled.

Cloudy days are often ideal for planting as it’s cooler, and recent rain softens the ground. Please bring wet weather gear like a raincoat or poncho if its overcast on planting day.
