About this event
Dive into the fascinating world of creek health and become a citizen scientist for the day.
Participants will measure water quality, collect field data, and identify macroinvertebrates (commonly known as ‘water bugs’) that inhabit local waterways. Learn how these tiny creatures can provide valuable clues on the condition of our local waterways and aquatic ecosystems.
Wear: comfortable outdoor clothing, closed toe shoes, hat, sunscreen, (staff will provide insect repellant).
Bring: water bottle.
Meeting Location: Moores Creek, Little Digger Park, Archbold Road &, Roseville Avenue, Roseville NSW 2069.
Note: if heavy rain or severe weather occurs in the 72 hours prior, the session will be rescheduled to a later date, and registered attendees will be notified via email 24 hours prior to the event.
