About this event
This special Science Week event for high school students brings together ocean scientists and the Royal Australian Navy. Students will take a deep dive into oceanography and learn how STEM can help us to decode the ocean.
On the day, students will attend an inspiring speaker session led by scientists working on a range of STEM topics, such as climate science, meteorology and science communication.
The Navy is packed with STEM opportunities, from survival training to mathematical modelling, submarines and more! At this event, students will also hear from Navy representatives as they discuss the science and technology behind the Navy.
After the presentations, students can explore the museum, including HMAS Vampire (a Navy Destroyer) and our latest science exhibitions during a self-guided visit:
Cost: FREE. Register now as places are limited.
Registration includes free access to the Australian National Maritime Museum.
