About this event

Uncover one of southern Parramatta’s richest ecological treasures at Duck River Bushland Reserve in Granville!

Home to threatened species like the Downy Wattle (Acacia pubescens) and Cumberland Plain Land Snail, this reserve represents a crucial refuge of remnant ironbark woodland amidst an urban landscape.

The long-standing Friends of Duck River Bushcare group works hands-on to manage weeds, protect mature native trees, and restore healthy native grass understoreys. Volunteering here offers a unique opportunity to learn about Western Sydney’s distinct biodiversity while directly improving riverbank ecology. It’s a welcoming, community-minded group where every volunteer helps build a cleaner, greener habitat corridor.

Come lend a hand and help preserve this incredible ecological gem for generations to come!
