About this event

Join local fungi and iNaturalist enthusiasts, Liz and Sofia, to explore the fascinating world of fungi. Liz Noble is an ecologist and keen nature photographer who loves identifying the fungi in the Hornsby area.

She loves exploring Hornsby bushland areas in search of new and interesting fungi, birds, wildlife and native orchids. Sofia Zvolanek is a recent graduate with an interest in the ecology and biodiversity of fungi and lichens, particularly Australian species.

You will also use the iNaturalist app to learn more about the fungi in your local area. This is an easy to moderately challenging (2km) bushwalk along a fire trail through majestic Blue Gum High forest.

Walk Grade: 2.5 (easy to moderately challenging)

Supervision: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult

Please note: Please come with the iNaturalist app installed on your phone and be logged in with a user name. The app can be downloaded on Google Play & Apple Store
