Grab your sunglasses and a hat and join us at Gardening at Waverley Cemetery Open Day, for Gardening Week 2025!

Come down to Waverley Cemetery and meet our volunteer gardeners. See first hand the work they have been doing to beautify one of Waverley’s best kept secrets.

Join us for a tour of newly planted areas now thriving with native flowers, bees and butterflies. If you’re up for the challenge, you are invited and encouraged to give us a hand planting some natives plants and then enjoy a light morning tea with the gardeners.

TO GET THERE: Join us for the session by meeting at the main roundabout, which is within the Cemetery grounds. Walk down the main path from the the main gates which are located at St Thomas Sts and Trafalgar Streets until you arrive at the main roundabout (about 2mins).

Please not the Cemetery has many uneven surfaces and most areas are sloping. Please wear appropriate shoes to attend this session. Parking is available outside the Cemetery
