Good For The Hood @Home program

Good For The Hood is a community-focused platform, created to bring people like you together. It’s the place where we give you the tools to create meaningful change in your community. The platform and its online series is run by the Good For The Hood team.

Besides being able to access information about a range of events run by Wingecarribee Council and the local community, Good For The Hood offers two online workshops each month with experts sharing their knowledge on sustainability-related subjects. The workshops are also recorded in case you miss any. Workshop themes change each month.

August: Gardening – How to grow food in small spaces and containers, plus ideas for reducing lawn and rethinking your outdoor space.

September: Food – Building on August with a cooking demo, this month explores crop swapping and gifting homemade/ homegrown food to connect communities.

October: Water – Focuses on wicking beds, water-saving gadgets and tech, and what the future of water looks like in our homes and gardens.

November: Power and comfort – Save money, Live Comfortably – The Sustainable Home Forum
