About this event

We all know Ku-ring-gai as a living green area, but there is far more to its ecology than that.

Come along as Karen Smith of the Aboriginal Heritage Office talks us through some of the extraordinary ecological sites in Gordon and Wahroonga.

Karen has been the Education Officer at the Aboriginal Heritage Office since 2011 and has shared her knowledge and experience of the local Aboriginal history and culture with thousands of local residents, students and schools. She leads guided walks and gives presentations throughout the partner Councils in northern Sydney.

Karen is from the Buruberongal clan of the Hawkesbury (Derrubin) area, and her family has been living in the Manly area for many years.

There is an amazing amount of living history all around us. Don’t miss out on it!
