About this event

Explore popular gardening trends at Waverley Library. In this workshop series you will discover, make and create modern green trends for indoor and outdoor living such as kokedama, macramé, pot plant painting and succulent design etc.

Each month will be a different theme. Please check eventbrite for program schedule.

All equipment is provided.

This month we will be making a mini terrarium in beer mug. A terrarium is a small enclosure, usually made of glass or transparent plastic, in which plants are grown. It is a closed ecosystem that can be used to grow a variety of plants, including ferns, moss, and small succulents. Terrariums are a popular way to bring a little bit of nature into the home or classroom, and they are easy to care for and maintain. The word “terrarium” comes from the Latin word “terra,” which means “earth.”

We will provide the beer mugs, small rocks or gravel, activated charcoal, potting soil and instruction to make it. We will also supply the succulent cuttings to use in your terrarium designs.
