Plastic Free July® is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities.
To kick off Plastic Free July this year, the Council’s Resource Recovery Team is hosting a FREE public screening of Happy Feet (Rated G) at the Granville Centre.
The event will feature a short film, along with a variety of interactive stalls and activities to celebrate the start of Plastic Free July. It’s a fun, family-friendly way to raise awareness about plastic pollution and offer uplifting solutions to reduce plastic waste, protecting our Duck River, harbour, and oceans.
The event will be held during the first weekend of the July School Holidays. Library will be open and may have some Plastic Free July related displays.
Please note: Children under 12 years will require adult supervision to attend.
Date: Saturday, 5 July 2025.
Time: 10am to 1pm. Movie screening commences at 10:30am.
Location: The Granville Centre, 1 Memorial Drive, Granville.
