About this event

Join us to celebrate our local platypus population in The Hills Shire this Platypus Month.

Discover more about this elusive species and learn how we can help protect our platypus population into the future!

Learn more about how researchers from Western Sydney University and a local environment community group, Cattai Hills Environment Network (CHEN) discovered platypus, what we are doing now to help preserve this population, and how you can get involved!

Learn about the story of ‘Bluey’ the platypus and dive deep into interesting facts about our iconic and unique platypus population and current research work to help protect this species.

During this special workshop, you will learn about platypus biology, threats and habitat and delve into what you can do to help the platypus in your own backyard and community.
