About this event
Set in remnant Cumberland Plain Woodland, on this school holiday program you’ll imagine what it’s like to be truly lost in the bush.
Our expert rangers will guide you through in the Woodland and teach you their survival tips and tricks. You’ll also learn more about the endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland which is unique to Western Sydney and is vital habitat for native birds, animals and plants.
You’ll learn how to navigate through the Australian bushland to orienteer by creating a sun dial, using a compass and read a map to find a secret cache. Finally, you will put your design skills to the test to build a miniature raft and see if it can stay afloat.
