About this event

Explore Sydney City Farm during NAIDOC Week with Aboriginal educators from Koori Kinnections. Take part in a guided walk to learn about the ongoing cultural connection between Aboriginal people and the landscape. This session includes a cultural display and bush food tasting. Then get hands-on planting native habitat species. Each session runs for just over one hour. Book now for a session on Saturday 11 July. Sessions start at 12pm, 1pm or 2pm.

In this session you will:
– Learn about the living cultural connection to Country
– Discover bush foods suitable for growing in our area
– Help plant native species that support local habitats

This experience includes:
– A guided walk around Sydney City Farm with Koori Kinnections educators
– Hands-on experience planting native pollinator-attracting species
– An opportunity to sample bush food

Koori Kinnections educators are passionate about connecting past to present and making learning about Australia’s First Peoples fun and entertaining.

Suitable for all ages.

Please note: this is an outdoor program running at the farm rain or shine. Bring waterproof clothing and shoes in case of wet weather. For the safety of visitors and volunteers, events may be postponed or cancelled in extreme weather conditions.
