About this event

Did you know that there are over 2000 species of native bees in Australia? Who might live in your backyard? And how can we make that space the best it can BEE?

This Australian Pollinator week, join Dr Amelie Vanderstock (Amelie Ecology) in discovering the diversity and ecology of native bees as well as what you can do to improve your own space (big or small!) for pollinators through evidence-based design principles. Amelie combines her ecological PhD research with a passionate flair for interactive insect conservation. This workshop will incorporate a theoretical component followed by a walk to check-out some pollinators in nature. Pollinator-themed prizes will be awareded to 2 lucky attendees!

This event is targeted at adults (16y+) and requires low-moderate level of fitness to allow for an easy walk from the Depot into Blackman Park and Lovetts Reserve.

Morning tea will be provided.
