Join Sydney Olympic Park and the War on Waste Newington & Wentworth Point groups to clean up Haslams Creek!
Locals, neighbours and the wider community are invited to come together to make a difference to the health of the local environment while also connecting with others from the community.
Haslams Creek is coastal saltmarsh and is listed as an Endangered Ecological Community in NSW. In order to clean-up this site safely, all volunteers will receive an induction, short orientation and Park Ranger supervision during the clean up.
Bring: gloves, clean up equipment, hat, enclosed shoes and sun safe protection
Supplied: rubbish bags, induction, park ranger support
Meet: at the Ian John Wing Pde entrance to the Haslams Marker and we will proceed from there to the Flats. Do not enter the Flats area without SOPA staff supervision. Follow this marker to the meeting point : -33.845712, 151.055447
Online bookings are recommended as numbers are limited to 20 volunteers. Attendees under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note that there is no vehicle parking nearby so we recommend that you walk or ride to the meeting site.
