About this event
A teacher PL day about plastics, waste and sustainability . Would suit primary, science, Ag, EES, geography, marine and geography teachers.
Join teachers from across NSW to learn about plastics, microplastics, waste and sustainability. There will be lots of hand-on investigations and resources for you to take away. There will be lots activities that you can conduct with your students from K-12. This day is a great follow-on from the sediments and soil day on Thursday November 20th.
This fun day full of fantastic ideas for teaching about microplastics, plastics, waste and sustainability in an engaging way. It is proudly presented to you by AusEarthEd, hosted by the Georges River Environmental Education Centre.
Bring along some smaller items of clean waste that you are unsure of how to dispose of that you might currently put in your landfill bin.
This will also be a chance to discuss field work activities and excursions as you check out the wonderful facilities.
There will be plenty for you to take away so bring some ziplock bags and a carry bag.
As this event is FREE to attend it is not catered so you will need to bring your own food and drink. Please bring a reusable cup or mug if you would like to sample some of our fruit and herb infused waters.
