About this event
Did you know platypus have been recently discovered in the Hills Shire?
Come along and learn more about how a local environment community group (Cattai Hills Environment Network CHEN) and Dr Michelle Ryan and researchers from Western Sydney University discovered platypus, what we are doing now to help preserve this population, and how you can get involved!
Learn about the story of ‘Bluey’ the platypus and share stories and information about the platypus, an iconic unique species!
During this special workshop, we will also have a live Q&A session with researchers and citizen scientists to ask about the platypus population, research work and how we can help the platypus.
Location and Parking: The Community Environment Centre is located on Currie Avenue of Annangrove Road, Annangrove. The Centre is found at the rear of Annangrove Park in the car park.
What to Bring: Please bring along pen and paper if you wish to take notes.
Important Information: Workshops are only available to residents of The Hills Shire.
Please note we have limited numbers for this workshop. If you book a spot and can no longer attend, please cancel your booking with as much notice as possible so you are not taking up a spot for someone else. We have an active waitlist.
