About this event

Discover how to choose the perfect native plants for your balcony, backyard, or open space to help your garden thrive!

Join Narelle Happ, founder of A Garden for Life, for an informative workshop that will help you choose the right native plants for your garden, balcony, or shared green space. With over 20 years’ experience in sustainable gardening, Narelle specialises in edible, indigenous and habitat gardens that work with nature, not against it.

What You’ll Learn

This 3-hour interactive workshop will cover:

  • Site assessment (sunlight, soil, and water)
  • Garden planning and layout tips
  • Native plant selection tailored to your space
  • Plant propagation techniques to grow your garden for free

Whether you’re a beginner or green thumb, this workshop will help you grow a resilient, low-maintenance garden that thrives year-round and supports local wildlife.

Part of the Grow Our Green Spaces Campaign

This workshop is part of Grow Our Green Spaces, a City of Canada Bay campaign helping the community increase native vegetation and tree canopy across our suburbs. Through plant giveaways, workshops, and a gardening competition, we’re empowering residents, schools and local landholders to build a greener, cooler, more biodiverse city.

Don’t miss your chance to get expert advice and give your green space the best start!
