Open your home and heart to animals who need a little extra love!
Become a part of RSPCA Sydney’s Foster Care Program and help give vulnerable animals the best start on their journey to a forever home.

You can volunteer based on your availability – whether it’s just a few days, a week, or a longer-term placement. It’s totally flexible and fits around your lifestyle.

Foster carers provide temporary homes for puppies, kittens, and animals that are injured, unwell, or recovering. You’ll help them feel safe, cared for, and supported while they grow stronger and get ready for adoption.

This is a beautiful way to help if you love animals but can’t commit to permanent pet ownership. All food, veterinary care, training, and ongoing support are provided by RSPCA Sydney.

To help in this role, applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Confirm that each resident of your household have agreed to fostering an animal
• Have a proven appropriate space or backyard for the animals to live in
• Have access to your own transport in case any medical emergencies arise
• Stay in touch with a shelter or foster care team via phone and email.
