About this event
From shiny Golden-Green Carpenter Bees to cheeky Neon Cuckoo Bees and crafty Gold-tipped Leafcutter Bees, the Illawarra is buzzing with an incredible diversity of native bees.
Bring your family and friends and join native bee enthusiast Alison Mellow for a lively and informative talk about the fascinating hidden lives of these wild pollinators. Learn how they build their homes, raise their young, and play a vital role in keeping our ecosystems healthy.
This session will also introduce you to Citizen Science projects and resources you can get involved in, so you can keep exploring the world of native bees long after the event. Whether you’re a gardener, a nature lover, or simply curious, you’ll leave with a new appreciation for the tiny creatures at work all around us.
For more information, contact Wollongong Library.
This event is one of the many reasons to have a library card. Don’t have one? It’s free and easy to join online!
