Spotlight Prowl (12 years +)

Join our expert educators for a captivating 1.5-hour spotlight prowl through Centennial Park, where the landscape transforms after dark. Experience the park’s nocturnal world in a quiet, immersive way, as you search for elusive wildlife in the stillness of dusk.

The park is home to a wide range of fascinating creatures, from brushtail possums and microbats to tawny frogmouths and one of Sydney’s largest colonies of grey-headed flying foxes.

This unique experience offers a chance to connect with nature and explore the park’s after-dark wonders in a peaceful and contemplative atmosphere.

Things to know before you attend

Please come prepared, as this program will go ahead in all-weather unless it is unsafe to do so (for example, during high winds or thunderstorms). Participants must wear enclosed shoes.

This program is suitable for adults and participants 12 years or older. All program attendees require a ticket. Spotlight Prowls are not suitable for large groups or birthday parties (a maximum of 10 tickets per person is permitted). Please contact [email protected] to make a private booking.

What to bring to the event

Ensure you are prepared for this session by bringing:

• Enclosed and comfortable shoes
• Warm clothing – it gets cold after dark!
• A torch
• Camera (no flash)
• Waterproof clothing in case of wet conditions, as the sessions run rain or shine
• A sense of adventure
