About this event
As global powers stall on climate action, storytelling that can cut through the noise is more vital than ever before. Shake off your eco-anxiety with this inspiring night of Australian documentaries and hear how they’re powerful catalysts for tangible change.
Learn how Australia’s documentarians are speaking truth to power and empower the public away from eco-pessimism, in a panel hosted by Documentary Australia co-founder and CEO Dr Mitzi Goldman.
Hear from actress and filmmaker Rachel Ward (Palm Beach, Beautiful Kate) about Rachel’s Farm, her documentary about regenerative farming efforts across Australia (and her own farm).
Laurence Billiet, director of environmentalist Bob Brown biopic The Giants, will also be on-hand to discuss her film, with further filmmakers to be announced. Together, with Intrepid Travel’s Chief Customer Officer Leigh Barnes, they’ll discuss the power of storytelling, how documentarians are strategically advocating for climate action, and what you can do to help.
Leave with a sense of hope, practical skills and a greater appreciation of storytelling with impact.
