Storytime in the Garden with Stephanie Paulsen

Meet author Stephanie Paulsen as she tells us the story of Orlando’s Garden.

Orlando is a little boy who lives in an apartment in the city, but that doesn’t stop him and his family from having an amazing garden on his balcony. Quite by accident, Orlando plants a bean seed in his sand and water table which he forgets about. To his surprise, a few weeks later he discovers a mysterious plant growing proudly in his table. With the help of his parents, Orlando grows all sorts of colourful fruits and vegetables in his small space garden.

This book will encourage kids to think about #sustainability through gardening and #reusing at home. This book prompts little kids to think about what they could grow in their garden, where their food comes from and creative ways to nurture their world. It also encourages healthy eating.
