Sustainable Futures Day Ku-ring-gai

Wahroonga Park will come alive for our annual Sustainable Futures Day!

Bring friends and family for a free, fun day out showcasing healthy, sustainable and low-cost lifestyles.

Free workshops including Solar car race for kids 8 years+ where they can build a mini solar car and race them against each other. Wildlife encounter sessions with native animals in a safe, educational way – may include blue-tongue lizard, turtle, stick insects and small non-venomous snake.

All day activities include educational stalls on solar and batteries, electric vehicle and e-bike display, induction cooktop demo, recycling/upcycling and composting tips, local sustainable businesses, free native plants, NSW Rural Fire Service Truck, ice cream truck, face painting, wildlife encounters and recycling games.

Hosted by Ku-ring-gai Council and supported by the Environmental Levy and Net Zero Ku-ring-gai. This event is the launch of Council’s Eco-Festival featuring programs and events throughout September.
