About this event
Discover Cooper Park with NSW Scientist Dr Joseph DiBattista and our Wildlife Rangers!
By joining us in this activity you and your children will take part in wildlife orientation games, colouring activities, crafts, and insightful talks about the park’s freshwater creek and forest.
Due to popularity, we are hosting two events in January 2025 (January 23 and 24), each featuring unique talks on aquatic species and local flora and fauna to engage our Junior Widlife Rangers.
This relaunched “Understanding our Biodiversity” activity is now funded by Woollahra Council Community and Cultural Grants Program, as well as supported by the National Parks Association of NSW and Blue World.
This event requires parental supervision over the 1.5 hours. The recommended age range is 5 to 9. Please bring lots of sunscreen, a hat, and water bottle for yourselves and your children.
Why
Educational events for kids focused on wildlife are rare in the Eastern Suburbs. We want to help them learn more about their backyard friends, and get them interested in the flora and fauna that surrounds us.
