Truffles are still a bit of a mystery!

To experience one of the most exclusive food journeys is a must for foodies who are looking for a unique farm-to-plate experience. Each year we invite a selected number of people to participate in a private truffle-hunting journey. Accompanied by our trusted companion Banjo-the-truffle-hunting Kelpie, you will have the privilege of walking through our hand-planted oak forest, following the unique aroma of the truffle, to smell the earth as its aroma permeates its surroundings and then discover and dig one up yourself. The richness of the soil and the amazing aroma of the Black Truffle when it’s unearthed is like nothing you’ve ever experienced. The perfume is unforgettable!

Each Family has a story…Ours is about Truffles.

With Hidden Valley Farms’ cold climate winters and our rich alluvial soils, we started our 1,000 English and French Oak truffière. We planted every single tree by hand and inoculated them with the spores of French Perigord truffle. Each tree is treated and cared for as an individual with all the respect due for the bounty it may provide. We patiently waited for 7 years for Mother Nature to do what it does best – to reward us for all the hard work, blood, sweat and tears and to provide us with a truffle! And it did! We recently joined The Australian Truffle Growers’ Association with its 170 members across the truffle growing states. Today, with the help of our recent addition to the family – our trusted canine truffle hunter – Banjo the kelpie, we are always excited and looking forward to what the next Truffle season will bring.

Our exclusive Truffle Hunts are strictly limited and are only held during the winter months from early June to late August. Please book in advance to join us on this exciting and one of the most exclusive food journeys in the world!
