Willoughby Park Community Planting Day

Come join us at Willoughby Park on Saturday 10 May from 9am to 11am for a fun-filled day of planting and beautifying our local park. This is a free, all-ages event and a great opportunity to get your hands dirty, enjoy a free hot drink, meet new people, and contribute to the beauty of your neighborhood.

Please register for the event via Eventbrite by selecting the event time and ticket quantity.

Each community member will plant alongside the park’s green spaces team, learning basic gardening techniques, and take home a small item for your own garden space.

No green thumb required – we’ll provide all the guidance you need. Just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to help out.

Just passing through? No problem! Please make sure to stop by to have gardening questions answered by the green spaces team or for more information about our parks.

What to bring:

Please bring your own water bottle, garden gloves, hat, garden kneeling pad and other protective clothing you may need in addition to applying sunscreen.

Check in:

• Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the event begins and check-in at the main footpath entrance, near Willoughby Park Centre.
• Each participant will be required to complete a volunteer waiver. Anyone under 18 will need a waiver completed by their parent or guardian and be supervised at all times.
• This event may be filmed or photographed, and images may be used on Council websites, publications, and social media channels. If you do not wish for your image to be published, please inform Council staff.
