About this event

Are you interested in learning about opportunities in the NSW biodiversity market and how to access them?

Did you know you could recieve an additional source of income by improving conditions for at-risk native plants and animals at your property?

If you are likely to have at-risk biodiversity on your land, you may be eligible to establish a biodiversity stewardship agreement (BSA) to create biodiversity credits. Credits can then be sold through the NSW biodiversity market, as part of the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme.

This workshop is an opportunity for you to learn about:

  • how to generate & sell biodiversity credits
  • how biodiversity opportunities can be integrated with other farming activities
  • benefits for landholders in providing revenue and funds for land management
  • the environmental benefits of stewardship
  • other opportunities in biodiversity conservation and natural capital.

Are you likely to have in-demand biodiversity credits on your land?
You can already have a look to see if you are likely to have in-demand credits at your address by using the resources on the ‘Current biodiversity credit demand’ webpage.

The workshop will be delivered by the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), in collaboration with the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT) and Local Land Services (LLS).
