Join us for a great day out documenting species in endangered Western Sydney Dry Rainforest and help restore it with Hawkesbury Bushcare!

Volunteers arrive
Arrive at Charles Kemp Reserve and short walk to our meeting point (map will be provided).
09.15 – 09.30
Introductions and safety brief
Introductions to supervisors and Hawkesbury Bushcare talk, safety briefing and split up into two groups.
09.30 – 11.30
Group 1: Nature Walk + GSB in Western Sydney Dry Rainforest
Group 1 to go on a nature walk through the reserve towards sections of the stand of Western Sydney Dry Rainforest, learn about the plant community type and its significance and partake in species documentation. Enjoy some beautiful rainforest scenery and take a walk to Charles Kemp lookout for a great view of the Hawkesbury River and surrounds.
Group 2: Hawkesbury Bushcare
Partake in restoring endangered Western Sydney Dry Rainforest by removing invasive weeds from native habitat. Learn bushcare skills, weed identification and contribute to saving this beautiful reserve.
11:30 – 12:00 : FREE BBQ Lunch
Enjoy a free BBQ lunch and get a chance to chat more with other volunteers and supervisors. Please advise if you have any specific dietary requirements.
12:00 – 14:00 : Group 1: Hawkesbury Bushcare
12:00 – 14:00 : Group 2: Nature Walk + GSB in Western Sydney Dry Rainforest
14:00 : Pack up + END
