About this event

To celebrate the Twitcher exhibition at the Maitland Regional Art Gallery from 12 October, 2024 through to 16 February, 2025 Councils Environment team invites the community to a workshop to learn how we can all create bird friendly environments in our bakcyards.

The workshop will provide participants with an introduction to some of Maitland’s common bird species and their behavioural habits in relation to feeding, breeding and sleeping preferences, and information on the plants and elements that should be including in a garden to cater for an array of bird species.

Participants will also have the opportunity to learn the basics of plant propagation as a part of the workshop.

A light morning tea and registration will commence from 9.45am.
