About this event
The area has been thinned as part of preparation for an ecoburn, and we want to monitor the birds response to this, as their habitat (mostly bursaria and african olive) has been reduced.
This was necessary to bring back a woodland type of ecosystem, which was originally on site and representative of the critically endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland.
Can you help out? If you are a member of any western Sydney birding club we would love to see you on site to help us determine the changes (if any) to the bird population because of the intervention we are doing on site.
Not trained or experienced? No problem – all training provided.
BYO hat, water, binoculars (if have them). Gloves provided.
Time:
7:30 am – birding
9am – brunch/ Bushcare registration
9:30 – 12:30 (with a break in there) – Bushcare
RSVP essential for catering, supervision and tools. Directions to the meeting point will be provided once you have registered here, through eventbrite.
Any questions please contact: [email protected] or [email protected]
