Vimiera Park, Albuera Road, Epping NSW, Australia
About this event
Come along and lend a hand to restore Vimiera Park, a sanctuary holding one of the few remaining patches of Blue Gum High Forest in Sydney!
Listed as a Critically Endangered Ecological Community, this site is a crucial haven for native bird species, arboreal mammals, and lush understorey flora.
As part of the Burnt Bridge Bushcare team, you’ll engage in weed control, native planting, and habitat protection along the Terrys Creek catchment. Working under the guidance of Council Bushcare leaders, you’ll gain practical ecological knowledge while enjoying a revitalising morning in the shade of majestic tall gums. It’s a wonderful way to connect with local conservationists and make a lasting contribution to our natural heritage.
No prior experience is needed—come roll up your sleeves and help protect this irreplaceable forest remnant!
