About this event

This two hour (3km) easy to moderately challenging walk will guide you through Cherrybrook’s endangered majestic Blue Gum High Forest and Sydney Turpentine Ironbark Forest remnants.

Learn of Council’s efforts to restore these critically endangered ecological communities. We’ll also compare and contrast these shale-based communities with sandstone bushland downslope along the Blackwattle Trail.

Walk Grade: 2.5 (easy to moderately challenging))
Suitability: Recommended for adults and teens with a basic level of fitness and bushwalking experience. Older children (7+ years) unused to bushwalking might find it tough. Not suitable for younger children.
Supervision: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult

Please note: There is a creek crossing that involves a short, moderately steep descent and ascent on a concrete surface. Participants should be confident that they can manage this
