About this event

This three-hour (4 km), moderately challenging bushwalk through diverse sandstone vegetation communities descends through beautiful rainforest to the delightful Gibberagong Waterhole.

This walk focusses on examining the relationship between the vegetation, geology and soils of the area, as well as the fire history and fire ecology of the local flora and fauna.

We visit the Gibberagong waterholes and nearby rainforest gully and spot several threatened plant species along the way.

Walk Grade: 3 (moderately challenging) – the last 300 m-section is steep. More information about walk grades.
Suitability: Adults and teens with a moderate level of fitness and bushwalking experience.
Supervision: Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note:

Mobile phone reception is unreliable on this walk
